Dragons are the oldest known species in ____________ They are said to have lived among the Gods in ancient times. Of course, it’s only natural tht with the increase in the population of man, that they eventually come to live amongst eachother, and adapt to eachother. For the sake of survival, Dragons adapted to the change by learning to take the form of humans. The end result of this being th breeding of the two species, and the “watering down” of Dragon blood. The descendants of the ancient Dragons are now known as “Draconians.” Where most human powers come from outward sources, Draconians abilities are the result of superior bodies, which usually results in more powerful “Magic.” The downside to this, however, is that Draconians usually only adapt one or two “Natures,” and cannot create magic outside of that nature. For example, a Fire Draconian can conjure much stronger fire attacks than a Mage, However, a Mage is also capable of using Ice, Wind, etc.

Draconians live by strict codes of Honor and conduct. To avoid further diluding Draconian blood, they are forbidden to inbreed with other humans. They live in three Villages. The capital is Dracor. It is located in a vast field where few would be uncomfortable, making it easy for different natured Draconians to live amonst each other. The second Village is Talbart, located in the nearby mountains. The shade, and cool tempurature make it a natural habitat for Dark and Ice Type Draconians. The third village is dangerous, and rarely seen by anyone. Located on the ancient sacred grounds of Dragons, the village of Valine is heavily protected against outsiders. It is rarely visited other than certain times of the year for import and export purposes.

Draconians live in a Monarchial society, ruled by a leader who, upon his Coronation, gives himself a title to live by as the King (Or Queen) of Draconians. (The most recent Leader named himself "The Grand Flame.") Draconians are trained from a young age to be proud of their heritage, and trained in various arts, crafts, and martial arts. Draconians are rarely fully clothed, possibly as the result of a wish for the freedom of the ancient days of Dragons. They have skin of varied colors, and brightly colored eyes. Draconians carry a unique religion. They honor the Ancient ansestrial Dragons of the past, and believe that their power is granted directly from them. Draconians believe that their "Transformation" is a direct link to an ancient Dragon, merging its own energies with their own.

Every Draconian is different in nature. A Draconian born of two wind types could still be born with an Electric nature. The reason for this is unknown, however it is not questioned or researched. While ancient Dragons could transform back and forward from Dragon to human form, Contemporary Draconians are only capable of partial transformations. They can develop scaley skin, which is dense, and hard like a thin layer of steel. Some Draconians also undergo other minor changes. Some attain claws, fangs, or eye color changes. Some truly blessed Draconians may even develop wings, allowing them to fly for short distances. (Up to a few miles) Long migrations, however are not possible, as Draconian transformations can be very draining. Being the least diluted bloodline, the royal family members have stronger "Dragon Blood" Which does nothing for their powers, but can have dangerous effects on any not a part of their bloodline. This serves as a protector of their Royal Heritage.
